Adopting a Puppy

Initial Steps

Process

  • We take deposits on upcoming litters. We do reserve the right to claim the pick of a litter as a Breeder’s pick at any time.

  • Deposits are not refundable. If for some reason you are unable to take a puppy or the puppies that are left when it is your turn to select are not to the color or gender of your liking, you may opt to roll your deposit to a future litter.

  • You will be notified by email after he puppies for the litter you’ve been selected are born. The email will contain a photo and general information about the puppies, as well as puppy selection and pick-up dates.

  • Each week we will post a short video of the litter so you can watch the litter as they grow.

  • Selections happen at about 5 weeks and are made in deposit order. You will have a scheduled time to select your puppy via phone call or FaceTime. If you are local, when it is your time to select, you may visit the puppies and select in person from the remaining unselected puppies.

  • Puppies go home no earlier than 8 weeks.

Prepare

There are several things that we recommend you do in preparation for your new puppy:

  • Learn as much as you can about:

    • How to Socialize your puppy

    • How to set Realistic Expectations

    • Crates and Crate Training

    • Housetraining and Potty Training

    • Kids and Puppies

    • New and Existing Pet Introductions

  • Get Ready:

    • Set Up Your House

    • Set Up and Prepare for the Car Ride Home

    • Determine what food are you going to feed and do you have bowls for food and water.

    • Toys and Treats

Training

One of the most important things that you can do in preparation for you puppy coming home is research and determine what training you will use for your new puppy.
